Let Us Walk With You Toward Recovery | Confidential And Private Support!
Transforming Lives
Recovery doesn’t fail because people don’t get help. It fails when one person changes and the family stays the same.
Reflection Family Interventions provides intervention and crisis support to help families and those facing addiction and mental health challenges navigate a successful intervention. We provide experienced interventionists and resources throughout the intervention process, working directly with your family to create a unified, effective path to recovery.
To the Family Looking for Answers,
“If you’re here, something in your family probably doesn’t feel right, and I know how scary it can feel to even consider making this call. Reaching out doesn’t mean you’ve failed; it means you’re choosing hope and refusing to face this alone. When you contact us, you’re not committing to anything; you’re simply starting a real conversation about what’s happening and what’s possible. We will stand with you, fight for your family, and never give up on you or your loved one.”
Shahar Engbring, Co-Founder

Reflection Family Interventions is a family-owned and family-led organization built on decades of professional experience and a deeply personal understanding of what families go through in crisis. Our work is shaped not only by evidence-based practice, but by knowing firsthand how painful, confusing, and overwhelming it can feel when someone you love is struggling with addiction or mental health challenges.
Over the years, we noticed that many intervention models focus almost entirely on the individual, leaving families feeling unsure, exhausted, and unsupported. We built Reflection Family Interventions to change that. As family intervention specialists, we believe families are not the problem, but a great source of strength and change when they are supported with care, honesty, and clarity.
Our approach is both compassionate and highly professional. We walk with families through some of the most painful and uncertain moments of their lives, offering steady guidance and support groups when everything feels overwhelming. Picking up the phone is challenging, but it is just the beginning of change. Reflection Family Interventions stays with families long after that first step, helping them move forward with support, consistency, and hope.
We are also deeply committed to advancing the field of family intervention by designing and refining our own family-centered models, tools, and methods, combining research, real-world experience, and innovation to better serve families. Reflection Family Interventions doesn’t just follow existing models; we build better ones.
We have walked with families through some of their hardest moments and watched them grow into stronger, healthier systems. At Reflection Family Interventions, change does not require hitting rock bottom. Instead, it begins the moment a family decides they are ready to move forward together.
We provide professional interventions across the country through in-person and virtual care support, helping families take the first step toward recovery with expert guidance, compassion, and proven strategies for lasting change.
Our mental health and addiction interventions help families overcome the cycle of substance abuse by guiding loved ones toward treatment and finding their reasons for change while empowering families with the tools to support long-term recovery.
When mental health struggles prevent a loved one from seeking help, our interventions provide families with the support and direction needed to navigate the process and encourage treatment.
Problem gambling can devastate finances, relationships, and lives. Our interventions help families take action, address denial, and guide their loved ones toward professional treatment.
Recovery is a family journey. Our coaching program provides personalized support, education, and tools to help families heal, communicate effectively, and focus on understanding and empathy to build a stronger support system.
For families who want to lead the intervention themselves, we provide expert coaching, step-by-step planning, and ongoing support to maximize the chances of a successful outcome.
If someone you love is struggling with addiction or a mental health disorder, you don’t have to face it alone. EXCELLENT Based on 32 reviews Posted on Google PhilipTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Drew and Shahar are so very patient and enormously kind. More than that, they are experts in the fields of treatment and professional intervention for a wide range of substance use and other addictions. I couldn’t recommend them more enthusiastically.Posted on Google JackTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our family had only hours to take action and help our loved one make the right decision for longer term care, and we could not have done it without the guidance and care of Reflection Family Interventions. Within hours, Shahar knew our entire story, had devised a full plan, and coordinated an interventionist flying in the following morning to learn about our story, our loved one’s struggles, and how to best approach things. Within the first few days, we knew we had made the right choice with Reflection. Now, after 6 months, we don’t know where we’d be without them. For anyone who’s been through this experience, there are a lot of ups and downs. Having Andrew and his team by our side throughout this entire process is what has kept us sane and constantly learning how to grow and improve ourselves. Behind their expertise, Andrew, Shahar, and the rest of the team simply bring such a great personal touch that makes them feel like part of the family. We cannot recommend them enough!Posted on Google LisaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve only been working with Reflections Family Interventions for about a week so far, but the impact has already been profound. From our very first conversation, I felt supported, understood, and guided through THE most emotionally overwhelming situation of my life. Their team helped us carry out an intervention that know we could not have done on our own. They were clear, compassionate, and deeply experienced, helping us prepare every detail while also preparing us emotionally for the moment. Even more importantly, they’ve continued to be there after the intervention, offering steady support and reassurance during the incredibly fragile days that followed. When my son was in crisis and I was flooded with fear and guilt, they took my calls and responded to my texts without hesitation, grounding me when I felt like I might fall apart. They helped me stay strong in moments when I would have otherwise caved, and reminded me of why boundaries are an act of love. That kind of support is priceless. I know we still have a long road ahead and several more months of support with them, but even this early on, I can say that Reflections Family Interventions has already changed the trajectory of our story. If you are feeling lost, scared, or unsure of what to do next, this is the team you want in your corner.Posted on Google Dr.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Without Andrew's team of experienced interventionists ( shout out to Tiffany) we would not have managed to get our son the help that he so desperately needs. Reflection takes a comprehensive approach, treating the patient and supporting the whole family so that all learn a new healthy way to function. We are very thankful.Posted on Google BrianTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Reflections Family Interventions has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. From our very first interaction, their team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, organization, and genuine care for the families they serve. Throughout our business relationship, they have been consistently communicative, transparent, and easy to work with, making the entire process seamless and efficient. It’s clear that Reflections operates with integrity and a deep commitment to their mission. They are well-run, reliable, and always follow through on their word. I highly value our partnership and look forward to continuing to collaborate with such a dedicated and professional organization. Highly recommended.Posted on Google KishaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family found Reflections to help me go to treatment. With the help of Andrew, Shahar, and my interventionist, Eric, I can truly share gratitude for the time/effort this group put towards my recovery and my family’s healing. With weekly family meetings (with my family while I was in treatment, and all of us after), Andrew was able to help us redefine our family dynamic and rebuild individual relationships. Each phase of this process serves an intentional purpose (planning, intervention, treatment, family mediation, aftercare). And, of course, a special shoutout to Eric who was able to understand/address my family while we were in one of the darkest, most broken places. I can’t describe my appreciation for Reflections (and Eric) whom had a solid plan to get me to treatment whether it was going to take 20-minutes or 4 days. Much gratitudePosted on Google DebbieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We did not know where to turn to get the necessary help for our family member who was desperately in need of treatment. We were told about Reflection Family Intervention and called them right away. We spent hours talking with Shahar about the situation and explaining the importance that we needed to get help ASAP. She was a very intent listener and took notes on what we told her. We hired them and immediately we had the intention specialist come. Every step is very well thought through before moving forward. They provided us booklets of information to assist us with the process not only for the family members but steps to help our loved one. They don’t overload you with information but give you the information that you need when you need it. That was so helpful because you are overwhelmed as it is just trying to get help for your loved one. Andrew and Shahar are both very supportive, caring, helpful people that have lots of contacts all over the country and are a wealth of resources for every situation. Could not have gotten to this place without your assistance, support and direction. Thank you both!! Reflection Family Interventions has been an enormous calm in a storm that I never thought would have an end. The entire team is genuinely passionate about you and your loved one's recovery. Throughout the entire process of the intervention and even months after your loved one's intervention, they're there to support and coach you through the journey in a way I never thought was possible. I would absolutely recommend Reflection to anyone that is seeking to intervene for their loved one.Posted on Google JoshTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I simply cannot praise Drew and Shahar enough. When I needed help for a family members addiction, I had no idea where to turn, after calling multiple Intervention companies and Interventionists I found reflection and instantly felt like family. Their professionalism and compassion was unmatched in my search. They also have the most comprehensive family aftercare I could find, and continued to guide my family for six months after our successful intervention. It was scary at first, now I can’t imagine what I would have done without them.Posted on Google DebbieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yes. A loved one does not need to be willing before the family begins preparing for an intervention. Resistance, denial, and fear are common when someone is struggling with addiction or a mental health disorder. Through careful preparation, a structured conversation, and clear family boundaries, willingness can often be developed. Although no interventionist can guarantee that someone will accept help, the process allows the family to stop waiting and begin creating meaningful change.
A successful family intervention begins long before the conversation itself. The family must understand the situation, identify unhealthy patterns, agree on clear and sustainable boundaries, anticipate likely responses, and create a plan for both treatment acceptance and refusal. Appropriate treatment options should also be researched and coordinated in advance so the family is prepared to act if their loved one accepts help.
Success should not be measured only by whether someone says yes that day. Treatment acceptance is an important opportunity, but long-term healing also depends on treatment engagement, continued family support, healthier dynamics, and what happens after the intervention.
Working with a professional provides the family with structure, education, and objective guidance during an emotionally difficult process. At Reflection Family Interventions, we continue supporting the family for six months after the intervention, helping remove barriers to care, strengthening boundaries, navigating treatment, and preparing for healthy family reintegration.
Our process includes an initial assessment, family education, intervention planning, treatment research and coordination, preparation meetings, and a professionally facilitated intervention. If treatment is accepted, we help coordinate the transition into the selected program.
Unlike many intervention providers, our work does not end after the intervention. Reflection Family Interventions includes six months of comprehensive family recovery coaching with every facilitated intervention. We continue supporting and guiding the family, whether their loved one accepts help immediately or initially says no.
Our ongoing family services include education, communication coaching, healthier boundaries, support through treatment challenges, coordination with providers, and preparation for family reintegration. The intervention is one important moment, but our larger goal is to help the entire family create lasting change.
A “no” does not mean never, it means not today. Unlike many intervention providers, our work does not end when the intervention conversation is over. Reflection Family Interventions includes six months of comprehensive family recovery coaching, and we continue supporting and guiding the family even when a loved one initially refuses care.
Together, we explore what may be driving the refusal, identify and remove practical or emotional barriers, and look for ways to make treatment feel safer, more appropriate, and more achievable. At the same time, we help the family begin its own healing by changing unhealthy patterns, establishing supportive boundaries, and responding differently to the crisis. These changes can create new opportunities for willingness to develop while allowing the family to move forward, even if their loved one is not ready today.
A family can attempt an intervention without professional support, but most families understandably approach the conversation with one immediate goal: getting their loved one to say yes to treatment. Treatment acceptance matters, but a “yes” on the day of the intervention is not, by itself, a reliable measure of long-term success. Someone can accept treatment and leave shortly afterward, while someone who initially refuses may become willing as the family continues changing its approach.
Our process is designed around long-term healing rather than a single decision. We assess the situation, prepare family members, explore barriers to care, coordinate appropriate treatment options, and develop a plan for both acceptance and refusal. We then provide six months of comprehensive family recovery coaching to support healthier boundaries, treatment engagement, family healing, and eventual reintegration.
For families who prefer to lead the conversation themselves, we also offer coached interventions that provide professional planning, education, and ongoing guidance without an interventionist facilitating the meeting.
The timeline depends on the family’s circumstances, level of urgency, and whether treatment or stabilization services need coordination. Some interventions can be arranged within 24-48 hours, while others benefit from additional preparation. During the initial consultation, we assess the situation and explain the safest and most appropriate next steps.
